I wanted to share with you the good news. Thanks to G-d, I passed the National board MFT exam that I took in mid-November of 2024, and received the results a couple of days ago.

I took the test on Nov. 18, 2022, got my results today, and couldn’t wait to post a review–I passed on the first try, 89%! I used the big green book, the practice tests, the audio CDs, and the model chart/glossary. I 110% recommend Family Solutions Institute to help prep for the exam. I took a total of 10 practice tests over the course of 9 weeks, with scores beginning in the low 60% range and slowly building up to the high 80% range through consistency. I wholeheartedly believe that the practice tests were the best supplement in helping me prep for the national exam. Be patient and read each justification for each question. You got this!
About 3 weeks out from my test date, I was still scoring in the low 60s on my practice tests. Something wasn’t right. I was using other testing materials, and while the content was close to FSI, something was off with how I was processing it. I felt I knew the material, but couldn’t translate it to the test.
I called FSI and spoke with Dr. Guise. He was gracious enough to walk me through my process and suggested that I review his video series in conjunction with his Green Book.
I devoured all the tapes within a day, and a light started to come on. The test-taking strategy made sense. The content was put in a way that just solidified all that I had read prior.
In 3 weeks, my practice test scores rose by almost 20 points. Needless to say, I passed the Exam with plenty of room to spare. Very grateful for FSI and its product. I am very excited to start practicing in the great state of Texas.
