The eStudy Workbook breaks the Study Guide down to more manageable bites, links practice questions with MFT Models, Knowledge and Practice Domains in a learning rather testing mode which gives you immediate feedback on right/wrong answers for those that like to study with practice questions; the eStudy Workbook also contains many other resources (videos, links, readings) not found in any other of our study materials.

FSI recommends that you begin by starting with the Virtual Workshop Series (via Streaming Video), watching the full 11 hours of didactic teaching with embedded PowerPoint and then begin reading the Study Guide. The Virtual Workshop presents various ideologic, philosphical and historical frameworks enabling you to hold the full MFT field in your head and helping you to further develop your capacity to quickly deconstruct a model to its core concepts; a skill necessary to successfully pass this exam.
Bouncing back and forth between the Study Guide, the Virtual Workshop will get you through the 1st 3rd of the Study Guide (which you actually do need to read to pass this exam!) Then begin working with our practice exams which will give you a sense of your strengths and weaknesses and what you need to do to better prepare for the actual test. Scope of this course: Crisis Management – Practice Domain #5, AMFTRB national MFT exam preparation. The purpose of this course is to help you prepare for the Crisis Management section (Practice Domain Area 5 and all of its subdomains) of the AMFTRB (amftrb.org) national exam for licensing MFT’s in the US.
The text of the course will provide background in family systems ideas about crisis and emergencies, and compare those to other ideas in mainstream psychology, both of which will be tested on your exam. In addition, prevalent models and approaches to common emergency and crisis situations will be reviewed.
A bank of 25 MFT exam-style multiple choice vignette questions will also be provided. These questions all come with discussions, and will provide you with the reasoning about why one answer is considered correct, and why each of the others is consider not correct.
